The prize money for 2025 remains the same as per 2024 with the exception that 5th prize in all 42 open events will increase from £15 to £20. This means that the total prize purse will be just over £21,000. Possibly the highest in Scotland.
There is the same amount available for breaking local, ground, national and world records. For example, £1,000 for breaking a world record and £500 for a ground record in the heavy events, £300 for breaking a ground record in the track and light field events and £200 for breaking the ground record in the 800m scratch cycle race.
